Daz's Tuskegee film star **FINISHED**

Post by DazDaMan »

OK, so I only have the one Mustang in the stash, and it's this one:

I want to roughly stay with the kit's decal scheme, but I'll be doing it as an aircraft from this film:

I haven't seen the film in a loooong time, so I'll be watching it religiously!

I'll get started on the kit next week. This might lead to me doing another one....!

You'll enjoy the new tool P51 Daren if you've not done one before, and I'll almost guarantee you getting another :-D
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Wings went together like that!

And then the fuselage went on like that!

So far, this is a fab little kit, on a par with the new-tool Typhoon, Hurricane and Spit 22 that I've built before. Very impressed!

So, I've installed the flaps in the wings and put on the first coat of aluminium.

I might have this finished by tomorrow at this rate!

This was how the Mustang looked this morning:

And this is how it looks now:

I'll go over the red bits again before giving them a tidy-up. Then it's on to the fiddly bits....!

Probably!

I've got the Italeri P-51A on order for my other build, and I imagine I'll do another D-model at some point...!
