Painting finished....

All the fiddlies are fitted, so it's on to the decals after the weekend! I'll also have to paint Laurence Fishburne, who's currently comatose behind the Mustang!

Must say, it's a super little kit, gone together with no problems at all. Will definitely have to do another!

Great finish Daren, and you certainly get the bonus points for the early finish!!!

Cheers, Iggie.

I'm not certain, however, that the anti-glare panel should be black.

It certainly looks black in this photo:

Try Revell Anthracite 09, it can look better at that scale than full black
But I do agree that the panel looks black in the picture!

According to a response on another forum regarding this query, they were indeed black on the movie Mustangs! Thank God for that! :-D

Nice work Daren.
btw, as film star planes are your thing, are you interested in a photo of the Spit used in "The Longest Day' ?
I found it on the Belgian Wings website (but can't post photos from my work PC)

Brilliant I always liked the Tuskegee Squadron markings! I have an unfinished Revell clear plastic kit that I am thinking about doing the same thing to, I am looking for the correct decals though. I f it turns out any thing like yours I will be well chuffed.

Cheers for that. OO-ARB = MK297. Later used in Battle of Britain and Piece of Cake, before being lost in the Canadian Warplane Heritage hangar fire in 1993.
