Nice looking Mustang, finished in a scheme I've not seen before, and how good is your compressor?
I'm guessing it runs, fills the 3litre air tank, and shuts off. How noisy is it when running, could you use it indoors without upsetting anyone, and how long does the tank of air last?

The compressor is capable of producing upwards of 40PSI although I do not have the details of the delivery rate. You are right in that it charges the tank and switches off. As to how long the tank supplies pressure - difficult to say because I don't know the 'cut-in' pressure. The compressor is quieter than the extractor fan on my modelling spray booth and can be run without disturbing any one (as far as I am concerned anyway!) :-)

Nigel,
There is a data plate on the side of the compressor, I will photogragh it and send you the image.

This evening I am back at home for a few days. Although I am not happy with the final outcome of the F-51, I felt I should do some finishing off. I produced a set of rudder decals - fortunately right and left as the starboard side decal fell off when I tried some decal Sol to try and get it to sit into the rudder better! The home made decals look as good as the Aztec ones, certainly not as thick, and they respond well to decal fix.

I will produce a full set of decals for the next 'stang.

Image
The replacement rudder decal with the home brew set of decals - the shape for the Airfix rudder is subtely different to that provided by Aztec.

The Kingfisher in the background is also wearing home brew markings.
