Hopefully these are a little better, the screen on my new camera is smaller than the old one so that's my excuse!!.
P-51B, nearly all painted, lower bands...

P-51D, blue nose, red tail (??),

Mustang IV, found a picture of one to do as the kit has only markings for the Tuskegee Airmen. A worthy subject but I've converted this to a IV rather than a D!!.

Finished!!.
North American Mustang IV.

ImageI've now acquired a new camera from my Dad, it's a canon 450, or something like that!!. It's brilliant and probably shows in the pics being better (most of them).
And all three....

Thanks Iggie, points gratefully received. All three presented no problems in building, even the older decals worked fine after a few days in the sun! (for once we had enough to make it worth doing!). The Mk.IV is a lovely kit although I don't think you can make it oob from the Airfix one, which I think is a P-51D. I used the Freightdog set which gives you the prop and the underside of the nose with the louvres rather than the grill exhaust (or is it intake?).

I have the same set to use (one day....); just hope it turns out as good as yours!

Thanks PT  . The Mk.IV (or P-51D as it is in the kit) was really nice to build and probably saved a low of work!. The Freightdog set follows panel lines on the kit nose so it's just a case of cutting along those lines and popping in the resin under nose section. Mine did need tiny tidying up but the fit was good.

Very nice indeedy.

The louvres are panel vents to allow air to flow in and vent out oil fumes which might gather and eventually start a fire.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
