This has been sitting in the stash for a good few years so I thought I'd get it out for this GB.
I'll be using the USAF markings as you can't beat a good shark mouth.

Nice. I have one of these in the stash
Are you a stickler for correct details? The prop on this kit is wrong for Korea. Its a sleeved type whereas it should be a blunt Aeroproducts. A bit of sanding and it can be converted. Or an easier conversion is the unsleeved prop in the old Airfix P51D/K kit.
Or just ignore me.

Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Welcome to the GB Tim, looking forward to seeing your build progress; it should be colourful!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Be careful of the decals. I built this kit and a few of mine shattered in the water. Fortunately I had some spares from the Academy F-51 Kit. I'd recommend clear coating the decals before you use them.

I quite like the Otago Sqn RNZTAF scheme. Only one A/c used that 'Diamond' style of Sqn marking all the others has chequers.

The interior looks pretty good when assembled and painted. Its a shame that there are no sidewall details inside the fuselage.
The interior has been fitted and the wings are on so here's where I am at the moment.

Thanks Fred. I do have an old Airfix P-51 I can get the prop off.fredk wrote:Are you a stickler for correct details? The prop on this kit is wrong for Korea.
