Post by Kitaholic »

Finally getting off my butt and getting started on this, the well known NT Airfix F-51D.

Box and sprue shots

Nothing fancy, straight OOB apart from belts, and off we go

Sorry for the lack of updates but as usual time has been at a premium. Started painting the interior.

Then before I knew it I was at this stage, this goes together rather quickly

Quick silver coating

Stage I'm at now. Found a set of AM decals I forgot I had so going to use them

Image

Not happy with the dark wing panels so going to redo them then it's on to decalling

Another 0 - 60 in no time at all! :-D Nice work Kit

It does fly (see what I did there? ) together a bit quickly; I just wish I'd had a chance to start mine.....

I have it programmed for a start on Sunday 8-)
Best wishes

Started with the decaling

Then promptly dropped it in a muddy puddle

Image

Then after a quick wipe down, stuck on the fiddly doodahs and she's done

That's a beauty. Nice one.

All the best.
