It's cool, Missy, I didn't want to work on the Spitfire anyway!

Up on its landing gear for the first time:

Some filler had to be used around the wing joins, but it came out OK.

I think, THINK, I could attach the Vokes filter under the existing cowling. It might be a little proud, but it can be sanded back. I hope.

Good luck with the filter installation!
Best wishes

Nice work Daren. I wouldn't know where to begin with a 32nd scale Spitfire, or any other aircraft, for that matter.

Start small, go big! ;-)

I've got the Vokes filter on, and am in the process of filling in some of the bigger gaps. Will post photos when I'm done with it.

Painting started in earnest this morning, with the first coat of light blue going on the undersides.

However, I appear to have misplaced the decals!

Hannants have a set of 1/24 Spitfire VB decals, which actually has some lettering I might be able to adapt for my codes.

Camouflage almost done - just another coat of dark earth to do.

I looked back through your posts and they never starred in a picture but you did mention putting the instrument panel decal on back on 12 August if that helps any ... check under the cat ...

As per usual, Revell Aqua Color applied with the hairy stick.

Just got to wait on the decals now. Will fit the canopy etc in the meantime.

Cheers, O_T.

The canopy is now on and painted. I'm not sure I'll get it finished this week, but next week for definite.

Waiting for these decals to arrive is slightly annoying! I'm itching to get the big Spit finished now.
