This all is so impressive. Great work.

I'm currently getting no bench time due to several things happening at the same time, I'm being laid off as of tomorrow and I'm moving my Mother-in-law down from Scotland into sheltered accommodation in Somerset 10 minutes walk from where we live.

Once the move is over I can get back to my builds.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I hope the move goes as well as possible; been there a couple of times with that kind of thing (and the laying off as it happens) and it can be a difficult time for all. I've found though that once the dust settles you can look back and wonder what all the fuss was about!
How did you get on looking for replacement employment?
Best wishes

As the planned 86 year old mother-in-law move has taken preference, the job search has taken a temporary break, I have a job interview sometime after I get back from Scotland, but as I have a Naval Pension and draw my state pension in 18 months I might just settle for early retirement :-D

"sheltered accommodation" -- another one I had to look up.

Hope the move goes well.

Cheers John.

In the UK we have sheltered accommodation, normally for the elderly, they tend to be small groups of ground floor one or two bedroom houses with easy access and disabled friendly features like ramps large doors and panic alarms in every room in case they fall over or need assistance.

I thought it an interesting concept to allow independent living as long as possible.

Usually they have a warden or some attendant (not a warden to round them up!!), then there is someone close by who can help and respond to emergencies and the like.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Over here, "warden" most closely associates with "prison" but then again many seniors probably view the "old folks home" as exactly that.

My mother-in-law is now living with us for the next two weeks whilst we move her furniture and carpets into her new home. Because of this I plan to get lots of bench time just for my own sanity :-D

To give the out rig rotors some support, I have used brass rod soldered together, this will be covered in rolled paper, to simplify the construction I made a rig to hold the brass in place whilst it was soldered.

Not if you look closely :-D but it will do, as it's going to be covered in card once it's all joined up and soldered.
