Well, I know it's the last day and all, so I thought I'd get up early and actually finish this thing off properly. I've even used my proper camera, instead of the tablet I normally use. I'm not sure why it deserved this as I got to hate it about halfway through the build and it could either have finished up in the Box of Disgrace or been 2016 Binning No.4

Anyway, it's done, now. For the record, it's completely OOTB apart from the instrument decals, the hakenkreuz and the two forward hawsers which were truly horrible, so I replaced them with two bits of twisted bronze wire. There were loads of improvements I could have made, but I felt as if I'd lost enthusiasm.

I now feel inclined to avoid large scale for a bit, which is a shame because I've still got a Typhoon in the stash and I have the feeling that it's going to stay there for a while.

That's excellent Keven.....Image

The weathering is spot on, and the detailing looks great (even if you think you could have done more!).
Best wishes

Excellent. There's quite a bit to that model and you have done grand work. The folded wings and opened cowls seem to be particularly difficult.

You're not kidding, John. The wings were OK, but the panels were a nightmare. What I should have done is researched how they actually opened, and then modelled some hinges. That would have saved a load of grief. And you've just made me realise that I've left a couple of dangly wires off the wing roots.

Toby, you are too kind, sir. Iggie, you're too modest. Mark, you're right about the strife: I almost left it as it was, unfinished. And your Spit looks great.

Well done Kevan, the work that you put into it certainly paid off.
