Arc's Ship O' The Desert

Post by Arcwelder »

Hello, all... been out of the picture for six months.. but I'm back and all about this GB.

I may yet delve into WnW-Land, but I'll at least start with something simpler

It's an oldie but an oldie. Old. Ancient as it happens. But not too bad for all that.

Helloooooo injector pin marks

For its age (1957?) the detail isn't too bad..

Going to remove the moulded detail from the interior and build new struts and bracing wires. May not muck about with it too much beyond that. Test-run of Bob's Buckles to get my technique sorted before ruining a perfectly good WnW kit.

At work on the interior, more soonest
Is this your sanderling?.

Welcome back! And the best of luck with this right old clunker. I'll be following your Bob's Buckles Adventure very closely as I've been dithering about trying them out myself.

Welcome back.
IIRC these kits came pre-drilled for kit silver string so it should be "easy" to adapt that to Bob's stuff unless the pre-drilled holes are too big to hold the little loops.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Good start Arc, any more progress yet?
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing
