I'm thinking a P51D Whiff for my first Group Build on here, Not sure whence I shall start, but I'll probably use the Airfix A01004 kit.

After a couple of builds this week I'll probably get another one in before the end of the month.

One third of the way through the month and we're [you lot, not me] are doing well.
The gallery is filling up nicely, with plenty more promised to come this weekend.
I have yet to settle on a kit and time.

Right, three 1/72 Spits from me, and I'm tempted to do a 1/48th one as well.
Will see if I can do the other two first before deciding....!

Normally, with two small daughters starting back to school, August is a tough time for me to blitz. HOWEVER, I've recently become involuntarily unemployed and looking for the bright side of this sad situation, I've determined I'll have sufficient time to do a Blitz. I've chosen my kit, the Brengun Wasserfall. I should do it one day next week.

Would have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this latest round of styrene based insanity, but… life, the universe, and everything. note my tacit approval of the Oxford comma.
Ginger daughter landed herself a plum teaching job in Holland, apparently also confusingly known as the Netherlands, and so I have had to very carefully balance my time between placating and comforting The Tall Vegetarian Wife upon the loss of her baby, and finding a secluded spot in the house to punch the air silently yelling "YESSSSSSSS!".
I was not cut out for ginger parenthood. Nobody is. They are a race apart. She managed to destroy her Polo at the end of May, in an entirely characteristic fit of being ginger which undoubtedly involved some unsuitable boy or other, and so I bought her a Golf. A very nice Golf, whose steering wheel is unfortunately on the wrong side of the otherwise perfectly good car for general use in Holland. And, as it happens, the Netherlands as well. Maybe she should have found work in Japan. Anyway, we now have a surplus Golf. Next Blitzbau, I shall be attempting to convert it, with plastic card and milliput, into a Passat. Or maybe not. I may be able to sell it. If you'd like a 2012 Golf, I can do you a great deal on one.
But, with just ten days to go I really can't see that I'll take part in this one. And there I was with a Revell 1/48 B-1B all ready to go. Ah well.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Careful now, that's fighting talk in some places . There is no such thing as a country called Holland, so it's really the other way round, The Netherlands, often confusingly and erroneously refered to as Holland. There are (in UK terms) two counties using that as part of their name, but although the inhabitants of those counties, and certainly the media, politicians, and foreigners, often appear to think otherwise, they are not the entire country.flakmonkey wrote:Ginger daughter landed herself a plum teaching job in Holland, apparently also confusingly known as the Netherlands,

Where in The Netherlands did she end up?

A blitz would not be the same without you Steve.

The Hague. I'm surprised she's managed to stay out of the news. But it's early days yet.rob_van_riel wrote: Where in The Netherlands did she end up?
I'll content myself with watching this one. Every time I think I have an opportunity to get on with making a model, The Tall Vegetarian Wife identifies some pointless task that needs doing urgently. I'm assuming it's separation anxiety.jssel wrote:A blitz would not be the same without you Steve.

No need to worry about telling people she lives in Holland then, since that is both correct and more precise then The Netherlands. It also means I should be reletively safe should she decide to fix the omission of not having made the news yetflakmonkey wrote:The Hague. I'm surprised she's managed to stay out of the news. Re: Sign-up and Chat
Well, somehow I have missed this until tonight. Wonder if I can find the time to fit one in. This weekend is out as I will be packing a U-Haul and moving my daughter's stuff up to Washington State. The following weekend is September so will have to see what I can fit around work.
I do have a Revell snap X-Wing I need to put together for my niece's cubicle. If I can get a stand for it that would be quick enough unless I decide to do a full repaint.
I also have a Bandai Stormtrooper so another possibility.
We shall see.
