There are some odd aspects to the uniform, I'll admit that.

The decals just got their dose of solvent, back to waiting for that to do it's job for some time again. In the mean time, the flak tower, in all it's grubby glory:

The coloured plastic colours look good, will it get a heavy or light weathering?
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Making good progress. The flak tower turned out well.

I'll be aiming for light, as these planes seemed sort of new at the one time they got any screen time. I'm not the most experienced weatherer though, so I might overshoot the mark. Weathering will have to wait until next week or so though; I want the 'new' plane fully cured before I start grubbing it up. The blitz is going to end at almost factory new state.

The decal solvent evaporated with commendable speed, and the final coat of matt varnish dried similarly. A final peek into the office, before closing things up:

After that the canopy went on, and I had a completed kit sitting on the bench. Time to buzz the (flak) tower..

I may have to take back that remark about the A-wing being a little runt; tail-to-tail with the (at first impression much bigger) X-wing:

The A-wing is shorter and narrower than the X-wing, but it completely fills all that space, unlike the X-wing.

All in all an enjoyable little build. I only had to cheat once with a very small spot of cement (in an all but invisible spot), other than that, this was built entirely as a snaptite, and mostly unpainted too.
