The sprues have been pre-painted and the wing has been assembled.

Zeroes were primed in a blue-tinted varnish and to represent this I first tried coating those areas in Revell Aqua 99 Alluminium and then covering that with Aqua 752 Clear Blue, this did not give a very good finish so I mixed a small batch of metallic blue and applied that to much better effect.

Nice interior work David & excellent idea for making that metallic blue paint.

Coming along nicely.

I can't remember what colour I painted my Zero's cockpit - certainly wasn't that, anyway!

Current thinking seems to be that the cockpits of Mitsubishi built machines were grey-green and Nakajimi built zero cockpits were painted in a slightly brighter green.

The wing has been joined to the fuselage, when that has dried things should start to speed up.

No problems with the parts fit O_T however I do not fit pilot figures so I cannot vouch for that if it is a poor fit.
cheers jeff.

I applied the first coat of mixed IJN Light Grey-Green (Humbrol Sky 90 toned down with Revell 76 light grey and lightened with White) last night before grabbing a few ZZZs, the second coat and the black went on this morning, the decals go on next followed by final assembly as I dash for the finishing post.
