I've heard of that sitcom but have never seen it. Wasn't the woman who played Roz Doyle in Fraiser in a few episodes?
She was in one episode. She played Brian's blind date when the gang all participated in a video dating service.

You may be thinking of the similar looking actress, Valerie Mahaffey who played a girl, Sandy Cooper, who had a crush on Joe in high school and she comes back and visits each time kidnapping Joe. There are three or four such episodes and they are some of the best of the series.

Well, I am back from lunch and picking up the modeldaughters from school. Also squeezed in a visit to the LHS.

I'm surprised that more companies don't make more 1/72 scale German rockets.

A V2 with all its support vehicles and launch equipment would make a great set.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

The Special Armor arm of Special Hobby make the V-2 with all the launch vehicles, tenders and fuel trucks. I want to one day do a diorama with them.

Well, it is 4:55 p.m. EDT. 7 hours into the build. Here it is. It looks farther along than it is. Due to the short run nature of the model, I am going to have to use some Mr. Surfacer to fill some gaps. That is going to slow me down a bit, though I still hope to have this thing primed by 10 p.m. EDT.

David is building another tube...

And I'm glad your attempted product placement was cut off at the knees. No Heinz advertising money for you!

7:06 p.m. Not much change visible, but Mr. Surfacer has been liberally applied to the kit and the fin joints. Now, I wait a few hours and then rub off the excess with a Q-tip wetted with denatured Alcohol. Priming should follow and that will wrap it at around 10 p.m. for the first half of the blitz. The last update for the night will be accompanied by the previously promised adult beverage. I've started work on the transport stand, the majority of which I;ll work on tomorrow while paint dries.

Good start.

I agree the Pensacola Naval Air Museum is worth the visit. Not sure I would call it the best as I have been lucky enough to get to several of the major museums over here and then there was that week in England.

Wings was a fun show.

Do you have to do the missile black and white? I would probably just go Panzer Grey over the whole thing and call it good.

Doing it in Black and White as a prototype. Few production models were made and unclear if any were ever actually used.

8:35 p.m. EDT. We've reached the adult portion of the evening. The modeldaughters are fed and in bed, with homework done.

Sitting down to some smoked salmon and crackers for dinner, with a fine 15 year old single malt scotch, Dalwhinnie. I highly recommend it. It isn't cheap. The modelwife got me this bottle for my recent 55th birthday.

Aaaaaaaah, Scotch. Nicely played both the build and and libation.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

10:00 p.m. The first 12 hours is in the books. The Wasserfall is assembled and primed. There are some flaws to fix in the morning, but nothing awful. All in all everything went as planned. Even with childcare breaks, etc, I managed to stay on schedule. Barring a disaster tomorrow, I think I should bring this one in under the wire.

Photo with my previously completed V-2 for size comparison.
