I still have to make a base for mine too, and mount it on the rod. I'll be using an offcut of oak kitchen surface for a base to help it stay upright.

I'm using chunks of polystyrene packing material for my bases and will paint them to look like pack ice - cheap and quick

Re: SMW2016 - 'Black Friday'
Ok chaps and chappesses, there will be a 4x4ft section of table at one end of our display that I would like to fill with generic CC strike aircraft. If any of you have something suitable I.e Mossies, Beaus, Beauforts etc in any scale please bring them along if you can find space in your packing solutions.
I will be bringing all that I have from previous years as well, this is just as an enhancement to our primary display and to ensure we adequately fill our alloted tables

Luckily, I had extra space in my tub to pack my CC Hampden!
