Marky's Senior Hornet ***FINISHED***

A Whiffery GB for any type of model. Simple decal changes, mild surgery or major. But all must have a story to back it up, no matter how silly or unbelievable.
The GB runs from 15 Sep through 16 Oct, and your host is FredK.

Thanks Zen, markings are on so pics later probably. Strangely, as most of us are used to seeing Hornets in lighter shades this one almost DOESN'T look like a Hornet at first glance!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Finished!!. Happy with this one and it has actually inspired a desire to make more Hornet's in British markings. I do have a Hasegawa F/A-18D and a Tamiya F/A-18E with a Revell F model on the way. Anyway here she is...
McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet (Hornet FGR.1), 899 NAS Royal Navy 1992.

Lovely. I hadn't realised you intended the 50th Anniversary markings. Adds a nice touch of colour.

Thanks everyone, glad it's acceptable!! .
Dwomby- I hadn't actually but while looking for 899 markings I came across them so I thought why not!. (Although they are meant for a Sea Harrier so they don't quite fit(!!) but they don't look too bad).
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
