OT's Political Tiger ***Finished***

A Whiffery GB for any type of model. Simple decal changes, mild surgery or major. But all must have a story to back it up, no matter how silly or unbelievable.
The GB runs from 15 Sep through 16 Oct, and your host is FredK.

Looks good, I know it's a whiff but shouldn't the roundels be centre wing?

Unfortunately there is a raised lump in the centre of the wing - no idea what it is so I placed the roundel at the wing tip.

I have attached the drop tanks and sparrow pylons and have also uncovered the cockpit tub. Wish I'd added more detail now the canopy will be open.
Just the missiles to finish off now then done.

Pic to follow.

Calling this one done.

Can't believe I have finally completed a GB within time. It must be down to this excellent kit.
Paints used were Tamiya, decals from the spares box and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles from the Italeri NATO weapons set.
I will post some better shots in the gallery today.

Excellent job all round OT, and from the completion gallery pictures I'd have said it was 1/48 or larger scale, it certainly dies not look like 1/72.
Best wishes

That's a really nice looking F-20 OT. I really like this aircraft a lot and you've done a great job of it.

Good back story too. I've watched a few vid's on the F-20 recently and I think it's a real shame they never got any orders - it was a superb aircraft. I still think there is a genuine market for this type of fighter even now - with the rising cost of 4th & 5th generation fighters and the resulting reduction in airforce sizes. I'd love to see something like this put back into production (with modern avionics) and bought by the RAF to back up the few F-35's and Typhoons we've got left.
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...
