1. Any subject between the two World Wars, taking 28th June 1919 as the end of WW1 and September 1st 1939 as the start of WW2. This means subjects between June 29th 1919 thru August 31st 1939.

2. Anything -- tanks, ships, cars, figures -- not just aeroplanes.

3. No whiffs, just real subjects.

This GB started from threads here and here.

The GB runs from October 1st to 31st; your GBL is Arcwelder who will fill in any other info.

I'll be joining in with two 1/72 subjects, one of which is - shock! horror! - a Spitfire! I'll be using the Airfix NT 1/72 Mk.I kit for this.

The other will be a nice little shark-mouth Bf109C. This will be the Heller 1/72 kit.

I plan on building a variety of subjects.

My first is the new HMS Hermes by Flyhawk Models in 1/700th. Instead of building her as she appeared when sunk in 1942, I plan on building her as she appeared on August 10, 1925 when she served on China Station. She will be painted in AP507C light grey vertical surfaces and with a dark grey flight deck. Also, the kit's Swordfish will be replaced with eight Fairey IIIF floatplanes of 440 Flight.

In addition, I will be building the new He-111p-2 in a pre-war RLM 61/62/63 Brown/Grey/Green camo for 25+E33 of 3/KG 255, Menningten, Germany in August 1939

I also have plans on building a MPM Bf-109 V1 prototype with a Rolls Royce Kestrel engine.

I have a few more 'tween the wars' subjects to get started on. But these will do for now. :)
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

I'm very busy up to and including October 8th, but after that I plan to join in with a car and hopefully something else, most likely a Hawker Fury or Bristol Bulldog.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Still not sure yet if I'm going to take part but would the Grumman Duck or Chance Vought Kingfisher qualify? I'm guessing the Curtiss Sea Mew wouldn't.

Duck - Yes, first flight 1936, in service by 1938.
Kingfisher - Not unless you model the prototype; first flight 1938 but not delivered for service until 1940..

You've reminded about the Saro Cloud; that may just have become my choice now....!!!
Best wishes

Glad to oblige, Iggie :-D
I've decided to pull that one into the Biggles universe (which it was originally destined for) so I won't be building it for this GB.

TheDewoitine and Hawk have been taken out of the stash, so they are currently looking like starters. I'll be on vacation next week and taking model gear with me so the Crusader is out, being a resin kit. I won't be able to sand it safely without all my modelling gear.

Either will be great, both will be even better! I nearly bought another Siskin on ebay last night. Love that kit.

I have a plan, a cunning one, and it will involve a dog hopefully...A Bulldog. And a remarkable pilot.
