Bader's Hound (AKA a Bulldog) *DNF...another one*

The latest project in the collection's workshops:

The remains of this Bristol Bulldog were found in a garage in Berkshire, ironically, the location of Bader's fateful flight in December 1931.
The aircraft's original identity has long since been forgotten, although it could be an actual plane ("Never, never call it a plane Bader, it's an aeroplane") of 23 Squadron, which the man himself flew with.

It was found in 2003 and has been through a string of owners before reaching the 'South East Aviation Museum' where it is to be restored to 'flying condition'
Seeing as it's origin is possibly 23 squadron, and because it would be a remarkable opportunity to show Bader's 'K-1676' as it would've looked, the plane is to be painted in those markings once complete.

So, let's get cracking!

Having grown up (and played on) next to Woodley Airfield, where Bader's fateful flight ended, I shall watch this with interest!
Best wishes

Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

For anyone who is wondering what is going on, I am trying to obtain some superglue to try and attempt some of the interior framing.

At last, some news!

The volunteer's at the South East Aviation Museum (SEAM) have finally got the resources to begin work on the Bulldog re-build.
The first stage of work was to check the aircraft's fuselage frames for corrosion. Once satisfied they were usable, the freshly renovated seat was also fitted and the controls shortly after:

Once the cockpit was nicely fitted out and ready, the fuselage was completed. We might need more workshop space for when the wings are attached as the hound is currently sharing quarters with an SE5A (replica), Junkers 87 (static restoration), Sopwith Camel (replica) and a De Havilland Mosquito:

The gunsight was then fitted before the tailplane and rudder were successfully installed and linked up to the controls.
The windscreen has gone walkies so a new one may have to be fashioned.
Next step will be the renovation of the Bristol Jupiter engine, an original which will power the aircraft once completed:

Thanks for looking in chaps :)

Complete Kick Up this one, I ultimately didn't have the time or resources to finish this one. Not very impressive especially after my failed Whatif GB entry.

Apolgies all. This one is consigned to the storage area indefinitely
