Fuselage is together and I have been trying to reshape the overly bulbous nose. Here it is compared to an unaltered one (I have 2 more of these Novo issues in the stash). It doesn't look quite right to me but I can't work out why. In any case, I think it's better than the original moulding.

I have also removed the moulded in pilot head. He will be reinstalled but further forward where he should be and a larger ejector seat headrest will be added.

I did a bit more work on the nose. It'll probably do but I'll check again when I've primed it.

Added the Aeroclub resin tailpipe and Frog FGA9 fin.

Apologies for the poor pics - the focus seems to be off on my camera.

Wings on and most seam work done. The wings fit well but needed a shim on upper starboard join to get the anhedral right. This photo seems better using my phone!

Still needs some rivet removal obviously!

Nice work; still looks elegant even sans tail-plane and with a coat of filler!
Best wishes

Pretty much done with the assembly and PSR. Tailplanes, like fin, are from a duff Airfix Hunter. I also added a headbox to the top of the ejector seat and moved the pilot forward a bit. This is a quick coat of brushed on ModelMaster Acrylic primer. I'll check tomorrow for minor flaws then, hopefully, on to painting.

I need to make decals for the undercarriage doors.

Not much to report except I discovered a boo boo.

First the canopy was dipped in Future then masked and fitted. This pic shows how much Future improved the canopy compared to one straight out of the box.

Image

Here's the boo boo.

Image

I filled the gaps inside the intakes but glued the filling parts to the inside of the fuselage. That left a big step of 1mm or more showing just inside the intake. I should have filled them so they were flush with the outside of the fuselage. I have glued in some spare bits of plastic and will try to smooth them in with a bit of Perfect Plastic Putty before painting.

I was reading of your silly putty problems in your workbench thread; I've not used it myself and am not even sure if I want to try it after your trials!
Keep up the good work though!
Best wishes

Today is carefully-touch up-the-paint day. Grey is done. Silver still to do but things looking better.
