Gadflys Mozzi....

Post by Gadfly »

I am off to a Toy and collectors fair tomorrow generally there are a few kit vendors doing their thing... So this may yield something suitable for a Suez build...

If not I'll dip into the Stash but I don's have any suitable Armour... Still something will work out..

Cheers

Nothing doing at the Toy and collectors fair.. A few kits on sale but nothing suitable for Suez...

I did get some Finemolds IJN seatbelts in 1/48 and a pottle of 'Rustall'. I'll have a look through the stash.

I have found a kit.....

Flown by the Israeli's. This boxing I think contains all the bits for a FBVI and the PRXVI I'll probably build the latter as a Tamiya kit makes more sense for a FBVI.

Anyhow let's see what turns up and what we can do with it...

Cheers

Well my brand new Mosquito kit arrived and on unsealing the bag it's missing the upper wing and all important 2stage Merlin engine nacelles and the bomber clear parts sprue... Thisecfamiliar with the kit will know it's actually the old tool FBVI with additional bits to make a PRXVI. These bits included a new upper wing and nacelles. I think I'm short at least 1 Sprue and the clear parts. I've had this before with Airfix stuff.

So I've sent an email to Airfix but I got the spares reply in 28 days so I'm sorry but given I'm yet to start I think I better flag this GB.
Sorry

That's a great shame GF; we'll miss your involvement in the GB and the additional variety your planned build would have brought to it as well.....
Please keep looking in on the GB builds, and offer support and comments to the remaining participants!
Best wishes

Yes frustrating is a word... The fact I'm not surprised when it happens with an Airfix kit speaks volumes. I'll be sure and look in on the GB..
