Another great choice, nice to see the French participation being recognised by a couple of entries now
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Pictures!!!!

Here's the kit I'll be building...

And the Sprues...

The only issue with the kit is the broken prop - but it should be an easy fix.

This was a pic of progress a few days ago - I've since painted more of the cockpit detail (pictures to follow).

Cheers

Hi all - so far I have finished the cockpit and fitted it into one side.

There's still a bit of work to do - maybe some clear on the instruments and a wash - but otherwise I'm happy. I've also painted and assembled the engine and firewall and added them into the fuselage and assembled the wings.

Progress!

Cheers

The cockpit looks really good, the detail stands out well.
What will you use for a wash?

Nice work on the cockpit. Looks a nicely moulded kit too.

The Corsair is such a distinctive shape. I look forward to seeing this one with its Suez stripes on.

It certainly should look good; even more distinctive than usual!

Hi All,

So this is as far as I've mangaged to get - alas I'd had no where near as much time as I thougt I would this month, and with the builders in, both bathrooms and the kitchen ripped out - and the rest of the house in total madness - I doubt I'll get it finished by the 4th (although I will get some more done on it).

Here it is then - as you can see there is a fair bit of touching up to do around the stripes....

Image

Still got to finish the touch-up - ad the few missing bits to the fuse, paint the engine, wheel wells, do the U/C and weapons, clear coats, decals etc etc....

Cheers!

You have my full sympathies on the bathroom and kitchen fronts; been there earlier this year! Are you doing it yourself, or have you got the builders in?

The 'bleeding' stripes seem to be a common problem in this GB.....
