Good to see you are getting to grips with this; I recall building one a while back and having problems with getting the wings anywhere near level!
Thanks chaps. Yes, the wings did need some dry fitting and adjustment to get level!!. Not too much to worry about though!. I'll hopefully get more done at the weekend as I'm struggling with time and tiredness!. Shouldn't have said I'll build this AND the Lanc!!.

Hi, sorry for the lack of updates. Hopefully get some pics up tonight. Meteor is all but done, only the markings and Suez stripes to do, canopy also to go on.

Meteor status. Stripes going on, made the mistake of using gloss yellow so it took ages to dry!!. Sorry, breathed again!!.

There's something so appealing about those NF Meteors. Maybe it's because they look so vulnerable with their big radome extensions. Nice work on the paint.

Thanks chaps, still enjoying this one. Black stripes are on. A quick question as I can't be sure here. I've put the wing stripes where it looks like they go on the artwork, but where if anywhere, do the top roundels go?. Can't see any under-wing ones, there are top wing ones but would they be over-painted with the stripes?.

Looking at pics of various types, I can't guarantee it but it looks to me like roundels were never overpainted but serials were. The NF Meteors didn't have roundels on the underwings to start with!

Right then!!.
Apart from messing about resizing my pics on Photobucket, I've been tucked up in my model room on this one and the Lanc. She's all but painted, decals and canopy to go on...

The tape has been removed as I repositioned the stripes, they seemed too thin (based it on a side view artwork). fingers crossed I'll get one of my two builds done. Only DNF'd twice in three dozen GB's!!.
