I've only actually built one 'new' tool Lanc which was the Airfix Mk.II. I've built about six of these as a B.I, B.VI, Grand Slam, Dambuster, converted to a Lincoln, converted to a Manchester, oh and another Dambuster, plus another B.I in memory of my Auntie. So all in all I'm almost building this one without the instructions!!.

The Lanc is struggling here. It's fallen victim to my interest in the Matchbox Siskin, Ta152 and Meteor NF. Still, she's build, painting to do, decals and add engine fronts. Hopefully tomorrow will see some more progress. Tired today, watched youtube on my tablet device until half ten then realised I had to get up at 4.30 this morning!!.

Looks great in that scheme. Which Xtradecal set is that I see with an RAF one in those colours?

Despite your distractions the Lanc looks great! Not too much left to do.

True, she's sooo close but I'm feeling like I'm done for the day, and it's being rushed. The props/engine fronts are on and painted. Windows added or filled with PVA. I've forgotten the two antennae under the chin although I'm not sure if the EAF one's kept them. I've also found from the decal sheet info that they had paddle blade props and no exhaust shrouds!!. Definitely won't get this done if I make those changes.

Actually yes I think they might, she only needs her decals so I'll get cracking today and tonight if possible. Thanks.

Thanks!. Without blowing my own trumpet, as the saying goes, she looks even better now. All decals are on, does look unusual in grey and black rather than green/brown and black. Especially with green and white roundels!. Pics later. She's done apart from the nose turret guns which I replaced and need painting black.

Great Job Mark; it's an interesting scheme and certainly makes a change from the usual mud and grass topsides!
Best wishes
