Gallery of Completions

Celebrating the man who flew 487 different aircraft, more than any other pilot, and who could be the greatest pilot of all time. We cannot duplicate his feat but each modeler will build a unique aircraft replicating one flown by Captain Brown.
The GB runs 19 November to 18 December and your host is FredK.

Supermarine Spiteful F.XIV RB521 flown by Eric 'Winkle' Brown in 1946. This is the Pegasus 1/72 kit.

September 1939. After being arrested by the SS when war was declared, Winkle is released at the

Swiss border with his car (Kitbash of Matchbox MG TC and Airfix MG Magnete to make an MG Magna)

1942 - Winkle is a test pilot testing the early Seafire when he loops it through BOTH spans of the Forth Bridge. (Revell 1/72 Spit VB converted to seafire)

C1957 Monogram Piper Tri-Pacer, 1/33rd scale. An example of an aircraft type 'Winkle' flew somewhere, sometime in the hoard he flew.
