Sheer brilliance! You are the master of figure conversion PT!
Best wishes

PT does it again, running out of superlatives to describe your work mate

Fantastic work.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Many thanks guys, I must admit I was nervous about doing this one justice.
Whilst I'm pleased enough with the body and equipment, the face of the kit was a bit of a disappointment. I had narrowed the base kit possibilities down to the Tamiya Luftwaffe ace and the Mini Art Ernst Udet. The Tamiya one would have been the easier option, with a fairly easily converted lifejacket etc. but I liked the 'symmetry' of making Eric from a model of his mentor, especially as they had a similar basic face shape. Whilst previous Mini Art kit faces have exactly mirrored the image on the box art, this one had a much more square jaw and Karl Malden-esque hooter. I didn't find this out until very near the end after I had done the helmet, wiring and face mask! I had left this because the face would have had a lot of handling whilst moulding the helmet and radio wires. Consequently I had to attempt to shave the jaw to more of a point and make the nose narrower and less like a boxer with the oxygen mask and wiring in place! From the right angles it looks ok, but I could have been happier with the facial likeness.
Being a 'Glass half full' kind of guy, at least I know now what base I'll use if I ever do a Douglas Bader conversion!

That is really, really most excellent.
I reckon you have done yourself, & Eric, proud
I to you
PS; You are your own worst critic. I've seen top portraits which have strayed further from the subject's likeness

Don't forget to get some nice photos into the Finished Gallery
Calling them 'Glamour' photos doesn't suit for Captain Brown.
