SBO's Sea Vampire ##

Celebrating the man who flew 487 different aircraft, more than any other pilot, and who could be the greatest pilot of all time. We cannot duplicate his feat but each modeler will build a unique aircraft replicating one flown by Captain Brown.
The GB runs 19 November to 18 December and your host is FredK.

SBO's Sea Vampire ##

Post by SBO »

Just a quick post to get things kicked off! Might have bitten off more than I can chew by buying a Czech Master Resin model of it - never done a resin model before

So stay tuned - should be an enlightening experience to say the least! :ha:

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

This is the moment at which I have to hold my hands up and explain what has happened (i.e. not much...)!. The timing of this GB has unfortunately fallen at the same time as the last batch of exams I have this year, and unfortunately that has to take precedence. I had intended to do some work on the kit both last weekend, when I fell ill, and this weekend when I had to look at suits for my wedding. This is the bad news. The good news is I have made a start on the kit and over the next week have a week of study leave. While I will obviously be studying in this period, on my study breaks I'll do what I can with the kit as well asupdate this thread with my progress.

So all I can say is I am terribly sorry for the abysmal performance, but watch this space - while I doubt I will get this finished in time, I will get going on it soon. My exam is on the 12th and after that it will be all guns blazing. Sorry guys.
