Tri-Pacer **Finished**

Celebrating the man who flew 487 different aircraft, more than any other pilot, and who could be the greatest pilot of all time. We cannot duplicate his feat but each modeler will build a unique aircraft replicating one flown by Captain Brown.
The GB runs 19 November to 18 December and your host is FredK.

Good recovery on the painting

Old decals are a constant nightmare to me , i don't know if this helps but i use a microscale product called micro Liquid decal film it is the best for coating and restoring old decals prior to use your local hobby shop or favorite mail order place should have some, it has saved me on many occaisions

Best of luck !

Despite the difficulties you've had, that's a really smart looking build!
Best wishes

Thanks, Norman. I'll pick some up next time in the city. Not sure it will help on these decals, though. The carrier film is as thick and tough as a freezer bag.

There's no way I'm going to solve the wing serial decal issue until I get to the city for decal paper or chemical. That's 2.5 driving hours away and after Christmas.
So I'm going to put my as far as possible completed Tri-Pacer in the gallery, after I photograph it for that purpose. If there is objection, these can be removed and I can be spanked after.

She looks lovely 59North ...you must let us have your name....just great

Thank you for the warts and all build log, i have enjoyed it immensely, it has brought back so many memories of the one i built with my Dad all those years ago

Mine is in storage as we are waiting on the house we bought becoming vacant , i will build it in 2017 though being an amateur photographer and member of the Australian antique aircraft association i have many pics of those still flying here so will most likely model one of those looking for the serials may be a hassle but we will see

Thanks once again have a merry and safe xmas

I hope you do build it, and in a thread on UAMF. I'm looking forward to that.

Thanks to all for the kind words.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
