7 December 1941 -- any subject, air, land or sea, any kit, any scale -- as long as the subject participated in Pearl Harbor and carries appropriate markings.

The hull halves of this very simple kit were glued together first.

The conning tower was then assembled and the tail fins and nose were fitted.

The conning tower and the small parts were fitted to the hull, the model is now almost complete and is ready for painting in rattle can satin black.

Gosh, that was quick!

Looks a nice little build though, and a good mojo re-builder methinks if one was needed!
Best wishes

The assembled and almost finished model is now painted in satin black aerosol, the next step will be to apply the decals.

With the model now painted, decalled and varnished it was time to look to the stand. The kit stands were a little too vestigial for my liking so I used balsawood strips to combine them and make the base a little more impressive.

Very nice, and your stand is a vast improvement. Looks a real museum piece.

The stand has been painted and the aerial wire has been added to finish the model, one of the five Type A Kō-hyōteki-class submarines that took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7th 1941.
