Marky's Zuikaku ***FINISHED***

Another placeholder, this is the Carrier Zuikaku (can't recall the maker sitting here, possibly Fujimi). Also made a start on this one. Guns mainly.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

It's going fairly well. The numbers on the sprues are a wotsit to read, they're some sort of style with big curves etc. Still, getting there. I've ordered another of the Six carriers, Akagi should be here shortly. There was also Siryu and Kaga I think but they are £20 to £30 a go so one by one here!. The only one I couldn't find was Hiryu.

The Japanese carriers were Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Shokaku and Zuikaku. The first four of these were all sunk at Midway. Akagi and Hiryu were distinctive in having left-hand islands.

I built Hasegawa's 1/450th Akagi a few years ago. I'll have to post some pictures in the Previously Completed section.

Sorry, no pics today, photobucket is being incredibly slow and useless. Might be my computer but it normally gets going. I've been sitting here trying to get it sorted since 1pm!!.

That would have been one hrck of a scout plane if it was based on Zuikaku!!!.
Japanese sailor 1: isn't that scout plane the wrong colour?
Japanese sailor 2: no, it's faded in the sun
Js1: it's got stars on it
Js2: must be for luck!
