If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Nice p.e. kit. You'll be going for a green interior, then?

Well, battle has commenced.....although to be fair so far all has gone well :-D I'll probably regret saying that though
No assembly of note yet, but the cockpit has had most of it's PE added and needs a little more painting to blend the different greens and weather it up a little.
The story so far:
Kit parts painted

PE side frame and knobbly things added

Seat belts, floor and rudder pedals

Thank you Daren but honestly you don't even need to think about giving up! You are an accomplished and talent modeller in your own right and don't you forget that!

In other news, the canopy is on; framing is done with scotch tape painted and sliced into narrow strips, then placed over the framing lines.
And now you can't see the cockpit

Looks good. Is the Scotch tape a particular sort?. Might be worth a go.

Cheers Mark!

The tape is regular scotch tape; the one that looks a milky white colour on the roll and that has a matt surface. I find sticking a small piece on my cutting mat and then painting it with a brush works well, the acrylic paint sticks well enough. Then slice it into norrow strips with a sharp scalpel and metal ruler or scribing template and away you go! Seal it with some varnish and job done

This is the state of play as of Thursday evening, more progress last night but forgot to photograph it and we're off to the pub now and won't be back until tomorrow :-D :-D

And we're done, or as done as this is going to get anyway.....due to work pressures I sort of had to squeeze this in when I wasn't in the best frame of mind, and so it became a bit of a chore which is a pity. I cheated on the yellow leading edge stripe by using some leftover decals from an Airfix Mustang
Anyway, it's a nice little kit, the decals behaved well (not always a given with Hasegawa in my experience) and it looks like a zero to me!
