Looking good under the primer coat Mig. Looking forward to Part 2 but I think you are about 6/7 hours behind me time wise so as of this post you are likely to still be in bed!

Part 2 begins.

I'm not sure I'll be able to get this one done in time, but I figured if I didn't get Part 2 started today, it wouldn't happen for another week, so it's now, or nearly never.

I've rediscovered how great The Who's Tommy is and I've been listening to this on repeat for nearly a week, so it'll be the backdrop for this part of the build.

Here's where it sits.

The primer coat revealed a couple spots that I'll want to correct, also I forgot to add the guns. I must have missed that part of Step 2, so those will added too.

I added the remaining parts, still need to replace the Pitot I broke off earlier, and got some rattle can red on the nose. Going to let that dry, then tape it off and move on to NMF. Although, I'll probably add a little more primer over the unmasked red, to tone it down a little before moving on to the silver/chrome/aluminum/whatever I have.

The nose looks nice and shiny. Looking forward to seeing it with the NMF on it.

So, in between watching the Super Bowl, and eating, I managed to mask and spray the Mig-15 silver. Again, a rattle can was used. Not sure of the color, but it looked OK. It's taking a while to dry though. I've also covered it in a semi-gloss and put it on it's stand.

Usually, we get wings for the Super Bowl, but our go-to wing place was packed and we had trouble placing an order, so we went with BBQ. A couple pounds of beef brisket (which probably stayed wrapped in tin foil too long and was overcooked), some sausage, and turkey, with the usual sides. Turned out to be a great substitute.

Here's where the Mig-15 sits after the game.

Just some decaling left to do. Hope they hold up.

It's finished! Actually, I'd still like to put a coat of future on it, but I'm tired and the decals are wet with Microsol, so it'll have to wait. As far as I'm concerned, this one is done.

The decals worked perfectly, and with some time left on the clock, I've finished my first Blitz...yes, a wimpy 2-part one....of the season.

I'll get some better pictures taken for the gallery, but I'm going to bed now.

Ticks all round from me. Mig looks good. Superbowl feast looks tasty, and Tommy by The Who. What's not to like?
