Cider is officially one of your five a day so go for it.

STUG is just about done. Weathering to do but a lunch break is in order.

Image

The SHAR has had 3 coats of extra dark sea grey and the bits and bobs are painted.

Mean while Paul is a bit distracted.

So to follow Splash's advice we are off for a pint.

Lunch is served:

Steak & Dunmbar pie. Do you think we have had enough meat during this Blitzbau?

On wards with the models. STUG is getting a wash and the SHAR is about to be decalled.

That is a great result.

Loving it, action shots! blurred drunk vision shots! steak pies!

I've now opened my first beer of the day at 14.28 instead of having some tea and I'm having a kebab later instead of a fresh salad. If I now kark it prematurely my wife is likely to hold the Blitzbau House responsible for leading me astray and you will hear from her lawyers. Don't forget gentlemen and I use that term very loosely, where there's blame, there's a claim.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how much modelling is going on.

You guys should give it a go but if you are from the South go for the Nancy two 12 hour sessions, and avoid the strong alcohol. Maybe stick to jellied eels and weak warm larger.

Now to our progress. The STUG is complete.

Cosmic has retired to his bed. It's been a bit emotional for him.

The SHAR is getting decals.Image

Once those are on the pylons, canopy and stand are ready to install. Still need to paint the pilot. It came from the spares box as none come with the kit. The wing tip wheels have proven difficult to fit as the kit is designed to be wheels down. Also the supplied Sidewinders aren't the wrong type so I am using some from the Italeri NATO weapons set. They should be 'L' model all angle ones.

Stug done, very well done that man. Retired to bed though? are you sure Cosmic is from Boro? I thought you boys up in parmo land were made of sterner stuff :ha: Shar is looking good now the stickers are going on. I've just cracked open my third can after abandoning all further attempts at modelling for today!

Have to admit I had hoped to get a crack on with my matchbox build kits today - but inbetween watching this thread and a lunchtime two or three of Doombar have also conceded for the day

The stug looks fab. Impressed with that indeed. Not really into wings n things but I can see the shar looks good too though

Take it easy Iggie.

I've made a rookie mistake and put the drop tanks & missile rails on the wrong pylons. :???: must be tired. Although it has slowed me down I should be done in good time.

Through the slight fug of my third can (just about ready for number four) I've noticed the 2112 serial on the Stug. Is Cosmic a Rush fan per chance? Or am I reading too much into it? :ha:
