This is most understandable and a very valid happy excuse. No aplogees necessary

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Kipling is almost done.
The P-12's will run right to the wire I'm sure - might need the 5th -- I'm really stepping along carefully to preserve the 2-color and make them fit for the SMW table.

Might be pushing it, the yellow is done. However due to the underside of the Halifax being black, at least on the wings, I use three colours, one to hide the black, one to base the yellow on and the yellow. Took two coats of yellow too. I'll push on, it should be fairly simple from now on fingers crossed.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

I'm running out of days with the Tornado:

Wednesday: wrap up build, primer, black
Thursday: Brown
Friday: Green
Saturday: blocked
Sunday: Decals, things under wings
DNF zone: dullcote, canopy touch up

Looks like this might be a good time to start begging for one or two extra days, to avoid having to rush the chemicals

My fingers are crossed on this one - just have decals and anti-dazzle panel to do but I am waiting for some fresh decals paper that I have ordered!

Not a prayer of being finished. Had a ghost seam on the wingtip tank to deal with that has held me up.Just not feeling the love at all at the moment. I can get the underside painted tonight possibly but It wont be anywhere near by the weekend. Sorry.

I had posted on my build thread about a local Woolworth store here in Michigan that handled Matchbox kits. One of the features included was a silk screen squadron patch taped on the box. They never matched the subject and may not have been accurate. Was this something only found over here or was it a practice by Matchbox for awhile? I remember the F104 and A4m having it.

I don't recall seeing any of them over here (Netherlands). This may or may not mean anything, since this kind of marketing doesn't stick to my memory all that well; to my mind, the patches would have been part of the packaging, not the contents..

I got one like that, but it was from an eBay seller in Arkansas IIRC but maybe there is a personal connection.
The patch was equally irrelevant and not collectible. It's the first and only Matchbox kit I've gotten like that.

Don't remember anything like this myself. They did do twin-packs of kits for a while, and maybe paints with them but no patches.

It looks to me a few could do with some extra time.
How does shifting the end time to end of Monday 6th sound?
An extra 48 hours.
