Floats and boats are on, paint touched up, ship's number on, did some mild dry-brushing to bring out some detail.

Need a flat coat, need rigging, need an ensign.
Nothing will happen Wednesday, but certainly doable by the weekend.

Guess I could use a stand of sorts.

Bad day for modeling yesterday.
Did get a nice flat coat on.
Still need rigging and an ensign.

I'm going to call this finished. My P-12s are fighting me and that carried over to trying to do some rigging and run up the White Ensign on this one. I have repaired the damages and am going to call it good enough. I might revisit this if somehow the P-12s finish themselves overnight.

It's a nice little kit, not up to present day 1/700 standards but that's OK, it is an enjoyable build. Having the option for HMS Kipling in the box is sure a plus. I've got two other Matchbox 700 kits -- San Diego (which I'm going to detail up) and Duke of York.

Something just fun about a Matchbox kit.

That's a little beauty. Very nice work John.

All the best.

Well done, John. Almost tempts me to build a ship - but not quite. The dazzle paint is very effective.

That looks a treat John, and the dazzle camouflage will brighten a display cabinet for certain!
Best wishes

A camo scheme really makes a big difference to an otherwise plain grey warship.
It looks good in that colour scheme.

That looks very smart. Particularly like the camouflage.
