David,
I flew '533 on 26 Sep 1973, it was the last flight of my course at 4FTS. The more rearward of the 2 blade aerials on the spine of the Gnat was actually a 'dummy' and was required to counter the aerodynamic effect of the forward aerial, from what I remember it was painted yellow.
