Where are you going to put it once it's built?
There is airspace in my bedroom, so she'll go next to the current B-36!!. She is big no doubt, the kit has around a three foot wingspan!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Sadly it's my last one so you can't have it!! :ha: :ha: :ha: :ha:
The price of these now is a bit high, I think £50 last I looked. Although you do get a lot of plastic. I also have to remember not to spend all of my time on the additional parts and therefore forget to put the wings on!!

Looking good. As for price, the kit appears to be now out of production. However, it shouldn't be too hard to find one for sale at the various local model shows.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Always been a favourite aircraft for me. This is actually the third I've built over the years. The second is still hanging around with the Prototype Air Test Vehicle (or B-58 Hustler as we would know it) underneath. Might do it up a bit as I have new info on the markings. As for this build I have started work on the wings, tail planes and propellers as I've realised this finishes in a week!!
Tail planes, with the good old Spitfire for comparison...

The animals went in six by six (well the props did/do!!)

And my take on the frame work of the bomb cradle. Maybe not 100% accurate but it's close enough!!

Post Image seems to be putting up 'image' icons rather than the thumbnails promised. Should still be possible to view the pics by clicking on the word 'image'.

Thanks!. I've painted the black walkway stripes roughly, which is how I usually do stripes!!. The plan is to mask them with 2mm tape then spray the whole thing silver and another metal colours as the B-36 fuselage was two colours, this relating to the pressurised areas of the aircraft. If I can get this done tonight (stripe masking), I think I can have this done. Sunday is the finish time right?.

Don't worry about the bigger screen, I can only just get her into frame on my camera!!. Gunner sighting domes, canopy, nose glazing, bomb doors and propellers are on...

Engine pods might need another coat plus some detail painting to break up the solid colour..

Might have to DNF this one. Annoying as I would have got it done today. Decals went on well, varnished them to 'seal them in' and the varnish must have reacted with the spray paint. There was a noticeable colour change round the decal which I tried painting but it just became more noticeable. I therefore decided to make the areas off and respray. Only have to find six replacement decals an and the guns in the turret too!. :???:
