Re: Sign-up and Chat
I'm currently tied up in the Matchbox & Cargo Movers GB's but once I find some time I will try to join in with a Fleet Air Arm Gannet.

Oh, decisions, decisions!....... do I go for a Belgian or Italian Thunderstreak, a RAF Vampire or a USN Scooter?

Why not all three?

It's a shame I couldn't add some movie planes to this - The Dam Busters, Reach for the Sky and Malta Story were among the war films produced during the decade.....

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Reviewing the requirements from the initial proposal, I don't see why not. The key is that they are from the 1950s , both civil and military. The movie planes are civil and flown in the 1950s so would be allowed. However, they must bear the markings of the aircraft from the specific motion picture and a movie still showing that aircraft would be needed. If you have a picture of that aircraft from the movie, go for it.DazDaMan wrote:It's a shame I couldn't add some movie planes to this - The Dam Busters, Reach for the Sky and Malta Story were among the war films produced during the decade.....

It's tempting....!
The movie aircraft I was thinking of were actually requisitioned from the RAF, so they were still in service at the time.
I'm building the Airfix 1/24th Hurricane for someone at the moment, so if I feel like I'm running out of time to do my other chosen builds, a 1/72 Spit will be on the cards.

Let me squeeze the Special Hobby Vampire in the lineup, if I may.

Come on in. The more, the merrier!
On a side note, Hannants has two pre-painted cockpit photo etch sets in stock. They are bot good enhancements for the kit.

Sorry chaps, I can't see me getting a start on either of my two Spits this week, for a number of reasons.
I'll have to rethink what to do for this GB.
