Daz's Silver Warbird - CANCELLED

Post by DazDaMan »

So, I'm sorely tempted to build this beast alongside the Pr.XIX, as the two types flew side-by-side from the airfield at Kai Tak in Hong Kong in the early 1950s, wearing very similar paint schemes.

If you've ever been to Duxford, you'll have seen VN485 resident in one of the display hangars there.

The only option I have in the stash is this one:

I built one of these a long while ago, and I still have it. If I remember rightly, it's a lovely kit to build, and pretty bloody hard to get hold of these days!

Go for it Daz. It's a peach of a kit.

Go for it. I just picked up some decals from Illiad decals and now have the urge to build the F9F-5 Panther flown by baseball player Ted Williams and a AU-1 Corsair flown by baseball great, Jerry Coleman.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Sorry chaps, I can't see me getting a start on this one this week, for a number of reasons.

I'll have to rethink what to do for this GB.
