This will be my 1st build when the GB kicks off but i'm gonna try and do a few more builds as this is the theme for the cold war sig at telford

That is a great choice. The Tiger has always been one of the best looking aircraft IMHO.

That is a good kit. I built that very model back in highschool and more recently the short nose version that Hasegawa released back in 2002. It had a resin replacement nose and new decals to convert the original plastic into a short nose bird.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

made a small start on the F11 Tiger splitter plates glued and tanks glued,want to replace the sidewinders would anyone have an idea which Aim-? sidewinders the F11 Tiger would carry

Based on the time period, the Tiger would be carrying AIM-9Bs, the first generation sidewinders. Here's my short nose Tiger for comparison. The AIM-9B entered service with the US Navy in 1956 and first saw combat over the Taiwan Straits in 1958.
