Why Me? *FINISHED*

I'll be building this kit

Image

But as I've already done that particular version, I'll be finishing it in a different scheme.

Todays work, just a second coat of interior paint on. So it's the same, but darker

Glued some of the painted pieces together

That's the Pledge dipped canopy in the plastic container. Should get that masked and attached tomorrow.

Sprayed the prop black. That'll give me a black back plate. The blades will be done in a dark green. Primed in white to give the yellow areas a better chance of looking….well yellow :)

Prop done and spiral decal applied. I think it should be a tighter spiral but it was difficult enough to get on the spinner and proved stubborn to any more moving

Image

And the rest of the painting so far

Image

Yellow done and masked. Humbrol 247 on the fuselage sides and underside. Two coats of Humbrol 246 on the wings and fuselage top. I'll give the wings a third coat then move on to adding Humbrol 245 as the final camo colour.

This is coming along at a rate of knots Nigel. IMHO Luftwaffe spinner spirals are nearly as much of a problem to get right as mottling. Great work with yours, that type of spiral decal can be a bit of a pain but the alternative route of masking and painting, it's fair to say, is fiddly at best

All the painting finished. Ready for a gloss coat and some decals

Not quite all. Cannons and exhausts need colouring in
