There are three sets of the BMW and sidecar and two sets of the BMW and Zundapp in this lot. Won't be using them all but can anyone guess the book?

At first I thought of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with Sean Connery in the sidecar!. There were bikers chasing them. Probably wrong but that's what it made me think of!. (I know that's a film not a book!!).
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Sort of close but no cigar. Heres a clue. It is set in the big sandbox but is fact, not fiction.
I have made a start on the Hurricane. Picd when there's progress worth showing.

All the best

Did the Falcons' templates turn out ok? I had some skulls saved to put on the sheet as well but with all the carry on with the image pixelating when I scaled it I forgot to add them to the final template!

Thought you may want to see the results with the decals. I used the only thing I had handy, one of Greg jnr's toy vans.

Just a quick update. Paint now going on the Hurricane. Started it's little friend. One more coat of the green and then it's time to do the underside. I have looked online at builds others have done of this one and always thought that there is 'something wrong'. I had a lightbulb moment and I know what it is now.
Will Johnny survive the crash or will he meet his maker.
All will be revealed in the next episode.

All the best.

Ok folks. Not denigrating the fine models I have seen of the Johnny Red Hurricane I know what I feel is not quite right.
The Hurricane was supposed to be a CAMship aircraft. So already pretty worn out before Johnny took possession of it. After that it has taken more hits that a second hand punch bag and crashed harder than Wall Street on more than one occasion. So basically it won't look very pretty. So that'll be what I am aiming for.

All the best.

That's very nice Greg! Is that salt chipping? Whatever it is it looks the business. Like the color scheme too.
