Re: Splash's suicide run
Nice one Splash. That would actually lend itself quite nicely to a 3D display.

Re: Splash's Thomson and Thompson jeep
Due to a total lack of mojo I have changed my mind, I took the kit out of the box and just could not find the energy to start, so I need a simple kit to get me going and have decided to go for the red Jeep the Thomson and Thompson drive in the Tin Tin books using the little 1/72 Academy Jeep.

Re: Splash's Thomson and Thompson jeep
Progress is quick the little Jeep just falls together, on the cartoon Jeep the rear does not have the extended rails to keep stores from falling out and as a back rest so that has been removed using my trusty saw.
For the two twins I have dragged out a set of Dapol railway workers as the Forman is wearing a bowler hat and suit and by swapping some heads around I should be able to make the twins in slightly different poses.

I don't know this subject but it sounds interesting. That jeep looks like it has a lot of detail considering the scale. That is also an interesting table you are working with in that last photo

Nice work
The twins also gave rise to a rather good 80s band of the same name

Nice one! I was wondering if someone would do a Tintin Jeep. Good work on Thomson.....or is it Thompson?

Re: Splash's Thomson and Thompson jeep
I have finally get some bench time in and swapped two British Rail workmans heads around to get my two Thompson Twins, these figures in 1/72 are just two small for me.
As they are cartoon caricatures should I paint them in solid colours or should I use shading to get a more relistic effect?
