I can almost hear that theme tune....!

Those are the original kit decals. God knows how old they are, but they're holding out OK!

Certainly looking the part but I wish you hadn't mentioned the theme music. It will be stuck in my head all day now!

Damn it, Daz, you're not helping!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :frown:

I actually really like Goodwin's music for this, BoB and Where Eagles Dare.

As to this movie, I have few complaints. I can live with the no-so-great models flying around the cliff. I can even live with them trashing at least one real Mossie. What drives me nuts is casting Chakiris as a Norwegian and the ever so obviously 1960s hair and dresses that the female lead wears. But I can forget all that watching those Mossies fly down that valley!!!!

With any luck, by the end of today, we should have a finished Mosquito to join the collection....!

PT is kindly sending me a printed card version of the front cover of the book, so I can pose the model against it later. I'll post some more photos once that arrives.

Well, there we have it. A fun build (apart from the bomb bay!) of a model of one of my favourite aircraft from one of my favourite films, based on a classic book.

And it just so happens I have a 1/32 kit in the loft that is VERY tempting to do as one of these aircraft....!

Nice job Daren, and I can't help but be amused to notice that you posted this, appropriately enough, at 6.33 pm!

I never realised that! :-D

Anyway, thanks to PT himself, here's my attempted at recreating the book cover:

Nice work Daren. I hope you don't mind but I screengabbed your photo and dialled down the brightness a bit to hopefully show off the neat job you've done.
