Daz's Ruptured Duck - **COOKED!!**

Post by DazDaMan »

So, my project for this GB will be an aircraft that was portrayed in the classic war film Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo -

My kit of choice will be this one - only in 1/72, not 1/48!

(I could only find the 1/48th kit on Google, for some reason!)

Oh good. I was just thinking that a 1/48 B-25 would be a bit big.

Nice choice.

Good oh, more variety! Is the nose art included in the decals?
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Sadly no, although Hannants do a set which includes several others from the mission as well.

They've been ordered! ;-)

Decals have arrived today, so hopefully I might get around to doing some work on the Mitchell next week.

Of course, I'll have to watch the DVD a few times!

(Interestingly, the decal sheet comes with an option for a plane called "The Whirling Dervish" - and I have a funny feeling that one appears in Pearl Harbor!!)

I think the Pearl Harbor plane is a later model - which I don't have!

Otherwise....!

Anyway, I've finally managed to get the Mitchell out of the box....

I never realised there was a stand with the kit, so I'm almost tempted to use it!

The stand looks interesting. Reminds me of the Italeri logo.

Nice one, Daren, this should be good. For whatever reason I've never built a B-25. In fact there are one or two famous types that I've never built (EE Lightning for one) and I really should make the effort before I kark it!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.
