Thanks Gnome. It's not as big as the B-36 I did for the Fifties GB but it is one WWII bomber that can challenge the Peacemaker!!. I have another -29 to do in the form of the venerable Airfix one!. Luckily, while ground space is now at an extreme premium, airspace is still available!!.
She works out at just short of one and a third feet long and just under two feet wide. Lord knows how big the old Monogram 48th scale kit comes out at!!

A friend showed me a link to some site where there are 32nd scale B-17's on offer. I think that would border on ridiculous!

Thanks OT, the paint is plastic kote silver. Goes on well and dries quickly. Started using it for all of my silver/nmf models!!!. :-).

Truly a stunner and what a treat to see the Washington in model form. I'd only ever seen old photos before.

Well done!

Thanks chaps, I hope you never see the model in real life as I think I may not live up to reputation!!  , it is pretty good so I am happy after all. I think the RAF's use of the B-29 is somewhat forgotten, most go from Lancs to Canberra's when they think of Bombers on the RAF.
