For those building the Airfix Bird Dog, there are some excellent build examples in the old Bird Dog SKGB here http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=180
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Very nice - There's something about Floatplanes that just says 'adventure' to me.

Ran the N number through the FAA database and I knew the owner. He moved away several years ago.

Wow - It's a small world indeed.

That's a lovely looking Lake - Where is it Jeff? Do you get a lot of floatplanes there?

Back in the days before I met my wife I had planned on getting my A&P and moving to the US to work on bushplanes - I was thinking Alaska.

All the best.

@Stuart.

This is in downtown Marquette Michigan where I live. We have two harbor areas and Marina. The 185 one of two the land here occasionally. The other is a J3 Cub. On the 4th there is an International food fest followed by fireworks. During the activities is a boat parade. The 185 led the way. The owner is a doctor here but moved away.
