I'm trying buddy, believe me!

Time to bite the bullet and glue the wings to thew fuselage - a bit of cleaning up of the overspray where the glue needs to go first though.

The three canopy parts attched with some newly acquired Kristal Klear. Also the loop attena attached and quickly painted with Tamiya XF24 Grey and XF2 Matt White hastily mixed to try and match the camouflage - I think I got it about right (it's just in front of the 4 on the alarm clock if you can't see it!)
Image

On with the decals - not many thankfully. They will need some Matt varnish as I set them on top of Johnsons Klear but it is clearly visible. Hope it disappears under the Matt Coat.

Just the undercarriage to go on and a pitot tube or two and that should be it.

22:50 Colour Me Finished :-D
Not many construction photos I'm afraid - not time.
Matt Coat over all decals to seal them.
Attach under carriage doors, undercarriage legs and hydraulic actuators.
Attach pitot tube and wing end lights.
Quickly paint pitot tube.
Take a deep breath and see if I put in enough nose weight - phew, looks like I did.!!!

She's not perfect by any means but not bad for 24 hours, and I can address the shortcoming at leisure now (filler in wing-fuselage join; another all over Matt coat, apply missing yellow unit band on fuselage etc. etc.

Fun in places, very stressful in others, but always worth a shot. I am tempted to do another (Max. of Airfix Series 2 this time) later on in the month - we'll see.

Goodnight all.
Al.

Two thumbs up. A tough Blitz build but you did just fine.

Superb result and I'm guessing possibly one of the biggest volumes of plastic 'consumed' in a blitz on this forum to date......
Best wishes
