Splash's modified P1127 (XP980)

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

The stars aligned nicely for you on this one Splash. Great stuff.

Even the new cockpit has fitted straight into the old cockpit

Suggests that Airfix got the shapes right back in the day.

Top plastic bashing Splash. It certainly looks like a good fit and at the end of the day you will end up with a very unique Harrier (or Kestrel?). :???:

The exhaust fairing on the old kit is the wrong shape so I have cut off the pen nip shaped one and will fill the hole and use the better shaped fairing as supplied in the new kit .

The intakes are looking better, having checked the original instructions Airfix did supply blanking plates to stop the see through effect but they are the totally wrong shape so the extra work was worth it.
