I've just been having a look through this build and what a great conversion it is, Alan, the old and new parts look like they were almost made to go together!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Very sweet looking
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Not a lot of bench time this weekend
I have now given the silver a second coat pluss a Matt coat to dull it down.

I know it was an accidental photobomb by the Landy, but the two do look good together in that photo.splash wrote:Alas the black was short lived and it's now had a coat of aluminium.
Future dio opportunity, perchance?

The bag seat in the new Airfix Harrier is nicely detailed, it's a shame that most of it will be hidden.
The new parts fit well and look better.

Re: Splash's modified P1127 (XP980)
The OOB ejection seat is very nice for the scale, certainly much better than the one Airfix provided in the early 80's 1/48th Sea Harrier that is on my workbench - I had to add a number of scratch built parts to make that look anything like!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Sorry this is a DNF I thought I had decal to cover this build but they have gone missing, I will complete it on the aviation tread at a later date.
